If you or a family member have been hurt by a motor vehicle accident, you may be entitled to claim accident benefits under your motor vehicle insurance policy. Statutory accident benefits (which is also referred to as “no fault-benefits”), are statutory benefits provided to persons in Ontario injured by the use or operation of a motor vehicle. They are governed by the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, which is a regulation made under the Insurance Act of Ontario.

AJ Murray Legal Services will assist clients who have had their claim denied by an insurance company through arbitration made available through The Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT). In the event that a claim has already been initiated and an individual’s Accident Benefits have been terminated, we will review the file and fight for re-instatement. Drivers, passengers, pedestrians or family members of a person who is injured may all have a claim and will also be assisted.

Specific Services provided under the Statutory Accident Schedule (SABS) includes:

  • Income Replacement
  • Dependent Care
  • Caregiver
  • Housekeeping
  • Medical
  • Rehabilitation
  • Attendant Care
  • Other expenses
